Professional Background

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with over 25 years of clinical experience providing individual, couple, and family therapy for clients of all ages.  I enjoy working with clients from diverse ethnic, cultural, religious, and spiritual backgrounds as well as all sexual orientations.  My bright and comfortable private psychotherapy office is located in San Rafael.

My professional focus has been helping people find the right trauma informed therapeutic tools so that they can better know themselves and their parts, move beyond destructive thinking and feeling patterns, have new insights and healing regarding past traumas, and face life's challenges with confidence.  With empathy and compassionate care, that is informed by sound scientific evidence, I guide my clients towards living a life with more joy and meaning and to experience relationships that are healthy and enriching.

Interests

My relationships with family and friends nourishes me and helps me grow both personally and professionally.  I know the joys and challenges of raising kids into "free-range" young adults and of being a partner in a marriage that spans more than two decades.  Also, I am a lover of nature, a love which is best realized riding my bike and running with my dog on the trails of Marin.
