Professional Background
Hello, my name is Alia (she/her) and I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#118064) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#7839). I work with both children and adults who are experiencing emotional distress, relational challenges and stuckness in their lives. My style is collaborative, compassionate and practical. I provide a safe space for people to explore life patterns in order to gain a deeper understanding of how they show up in the world. I am honored to work with clients in developing further insight and in finding the right tools to support them in living richer, fuller lives.
Clinical Experience
I have a wide range of clinical skills and integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities in order to best serve the client. My clinical experience includes working as a school-based intern, serving adolescents and their families. I also have worked extensively with adults in a community-based psychotherapy setting. Some examples of populations I have worked with have included neurodivergent individuals, LBGTQ+, BIPOC individuals, immigrants, students, folks with mixed heritage, those in the helping professions and artists. Prior to my career in mental health, I worked collaboratively with counseling professionals in supporting college students in their academic and personal journeys.

Interests
I enjoy connecting with loved ones from all over the world. Seeking new adventures and challenges is important to me and my growth as both an individual and a clinician. Sharing a good book, hiking with my dog, giving back to the community, or searching for vintage curiosities with family and friends are moments that I treasure.
